Start with OwnGoA worked example
A bread delivery service supplies 120 customers on a delivery plan three times a week, about 1,560 deliveries a month. Each delivery is a €6 basket plus a €1.50 delivery fee. The numbers are an example, not a statement about any particular business.
| Per month | Amount |
|---|---|
| Revenue | €11,700 |
| Bought from the bakery (55%) | − €5,148 |
| Drivers (4 minutes per stop, €15 an hour) | − €1,560 |
| Vehicle (€0.30 per delivery) | − €468 |
| Direct debit fees (€0.35 per customer) | − €42 |
| OwnGo Wachstum | − €149 |
| You keep, before tax | €4,333 |
A franchise taking 10% of revenue would cost €1,170 a month in this example instead of €149.
The three levers
- The basket. Every extra euro per delivery costs the driver nothing more. Coffee, spreads or a weekend loaf in the delivery plan raise it most.
- The bakery price. A few percentage points with the bakery make hundreds of euros by month end. Negotiate on the volume you commit to.
- Route density. The closer your customers live, the fewer minutes per stop. Advertise street by street, not city-wide.
What the calculator leaves out
Your own time packing and organising, taxes, insurance, packaging and holidays are not included. The calculator does not replace advice from your tax adviser.
